Ingredients :
- 160 grams plain flour
- 100 grams chilled butter
- 65 grams golden caster sugar
- 1 tsp Orange extract
- 1 large egg yolk
- Optional
- 100 grams Dark or milk chocolate
- 50 grams Dark or milk chocolate
Method :
- Put flour and cubed butter in a bowl and using fingertips make into breadcrumbs
- Add sugar, extract & yolk and using a flat knife bring to a dough.
- Wrap in clingfilm and put in the fridge for upto 60 minutes.
- Take out fridge and roll into lightly floured surface 3 mm thick. If hard to roll leave at room temperature for few minutes.
- Pre heat oven to 180°
- Cut into shapes and place onto lined baking tray with greaseproof paper
- Bake for 8 -10 minutes until golden brown mine took 10 minutes
- Leave few minutes then carefully transfer to cooling rack,
- If topping with chocolate melt 100g of the chocolate then take off the heat and add the 50g & let melt stirring occasionally. put into moulds if using, leave to room temperature then chill in fridge until set. Carefully take out chocolate from moulds trim edges then stick to biscuits with a little melted chocolate or decorate your own way,,
