Ingredients :
- 3 slices thin-sliced roast ham
- 3 slices thin-sliced roast chicken
- to taste your favourite Barbecue sauce
- to taste ketchup (optional)
- to taste sliced Mexicana cheese
- to taste sliced Swiss cheese
- 1 red tomato
- to taste basil, preferably fresh torn
- to taste sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to season
Method :
- Slice a sub roll or a large hot dog roll
- Slice some chicken to cover the bottom piece
- Add some sliced Mexicana cheese (cheddar with jalapeΓ±os and bell peppers)
- Then some BBQ sauce or ketchup. I"m using Sweet Baby Ray"s Hickory & Brown sugar BBQ sauce
- Then tear up the left over chicken, add to the sandwich, and season well
- Slice some Swiss cheese (I"m using Emmental), and cover the chicken
- Next add a layer of ham
- Then some sliced tomato
- A good drizzle of ketchup...
- ....and some basil
- Tear some more ham on top and season well (remember you"ll get a lot of pepperiness coming from the cheese)
- Add some more cheese
- Add the lid, skewer, and enjoy as is or...
- Pop in a preheated hot oven for at least 10 minutes until the cheese melts and the bun turns crusty
