
Ingredients :
- 4 Chicken breasts
- 2 pints batter made thick
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 1/2 pints Veg oil for deep frying
Method :
- Add the salt, paprika, and pepper to the flour/batter mix. Mix it then add the water, mix until thick and smooth
- Cut up the chicken into bite size pieces or a little bigger if you prefer
- Heat up the oil to very hot, and test with a tiny bit of the batter, if it bubbles immediatley you can then add the chicken in batter
- On kitchen paper, dry off the chicken pieces first then dip the chicken pieces in the batter and drop into the boiling oil, about 5 at a time.
- Then when browned after about 3 minutes, put them on kitchen paper to drain off excess oil.
- When they are all done, you can put these away until your ready for them. Just pop in the oven 170°C/gas 6 for 30 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
- You can also instead of salt n pepper, add 1 teaspoon of curry powder or chili powder, or jerk seasonings and have different flavour.
