Ingredients :
- 2 clove garlic
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 slice ham (or bacon)
- 2 cup jasmine rice
- 2 tbsp knorr suiza caldo de pollo (or chicken bouillon)
- 2 tbsp recaito (cilantro cooking base)
- pinch dried parsley
- 1 envelope sazon goya culantro y achiote
- 1 can habichuela (pink beans, red beans)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp tomato sauce
- 2 cup water
Method :
- saute onion garlic and ham and a little bit of olive oil. Pull out of pan set aside
- add more olive oil and fry the rice until golden brown. add the sauteed onion, ham, and garlic.
- Pour 2 cups of water, tomato sauce, chicken bullion, and remaining ingredients and stir until incorporated
- Once everything is stirred together heat to boiling and then turn down to simmer for 15 minutes
