Ingredients :
- 1 3/4 teaspoon butter
- 1/4 can (10 3/4 ounce) condensed cream of mushroom soup.
- 1/3 cup and 1 teaspoon water, or as needed
- 1/4 (12 fluid ounces) can evaporated milk
- 1/4 onion, chopped
- to taste salt and pepper
- 9 oz stainless, boneless chicken breast halves - cubed
- 1/4 (6 ounce) can sliced mushrooms drained
Method :
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter/ margarine. Add the soup, water and milk. Stir together over medium heat. Add the onion, salt and pepper and bring to a boil.
- When mixture starts boiling add the chicken and simmer all together until chicken is cooked through. Add the sliced mushrooms and boil over medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring often. Serve
- ***You can use milk instead of water, can be 2% or evaporated milk. Can put green beans or carrots or celery in this dish up to the cook.
- This recipe can also be done in the oven.
- Before anything is done brown the chicken first
