Ingredients :
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup + 2 teaspoons of chilled shortening
- 5 tablespoons ice cold water + til dough forms
Method :
- Add flour, salt, and cubed chilled shortening to chilled bowl.
- With pastry cutter or fork, cut shortening into the flour and salt until it resembles pea sized crumbs.
- Add 5 tablespoons of ice water, one at a time until dough vegans to come together... do not add too much water.... you may just need an additional tablespoon or two.
- Dump flour back onto a floured board or pastry mat. Form disk and wrap in plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours
- Remove from refrigerator and roll out on floured pastry mat. Use as desired
