
Ingredients :
- 2 white onions
- 5 garlic cloves
- 2 tins chopped peeled tomatoes
- 1 salt
- 1 pepper to taste
- 3 table spoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons white sugar
- 1 handfull fresh basil chopped
- 1 paprika
- 1 tea spoon tomato paste
Method :
- Heat pan with oil and fry chopped onions and garlic until SLIGHTLY brown, dont let them burn
- Add chopped tomatoes, all seasonings, fresh basil and sugar and give it a good old stir
- Let the sauce simmer for 20 mins on a LOW heat stirring every five mins so it does not catch.
- Turn off the heat and let the sauce cool right down before placing it into a airtight jar to remain fresh for weeks!
