- 1/2 cup cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup vinegar (distlled white or apple cider)
- 2 tsp. dry mustard powder or 2 Tablespoons regular, dijon, or spicy brown mustard
Method :
- In skillet cook bacon. Cook bacon all the way through and remove from pan. Drain any residual fat off. Add to a big bowl when done.
- Take half of the diced onion and 1 lb of ground beef and brown in skillet. Drain any residual fat off. Add to a big bowl when done.
- Take the other half of the diced onion and 1 lb of ground pork and brown in skillet. Drain any residual fat off. Add to a big bowl when done.
- Add cans of beans to the big bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Add everything in the big bowl to the crockpot.
- Place lid on crock pot and cook on low for 2-4 hours.
- You may want to remove lid at the 2 hour mark and continue cooking on low if you want to thicken up the sauce a bit more, to the consistency of pancake syrup.
