Resep Butter pound cake with chocolate almond frosting

Ingredients :

  • 6 eggs at room temperature
  • 3 sticks salted butter at room temperature
  • 8 oz sour cream at room temperature
  • 3 cups cake flour, sifted twice
  • 3 cups sugar, sifted twice
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp butter flavor
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 pint heavy cream
  • 10 oz semisweet chocolate
  • 1 tsp almond flavor
  • 1 cup chopped almonds

Method :
  1. Cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time making sure to blend well after each egg.
  3. Add vanilla and butter favors.
  4. Mix baking soda with sifted flour.
  5. Add half of the flour to the butter and sugar and blend well.
  6. Add the sour cream and blend well.
  7. Add remaining flour and blend until light and fluffy.
  8. Test for doneness by inserting a cake pick into the middle of cake.
  9. Break chocolate into pieces, add to cream and stir until melted.
  10. Add almond flavor.
  11. Please note: all ingredients should be at room temperature, flour and sugar should be sifted twice for best density and height results.
