Ingredients :
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Variation: for chocolate cookies, add 3 tablespoons dark coco powder with the flour
Method :
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. In a large bowl combine sour cream, sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
- Add flour and mix until blended.
- Scoop out teaspoons of dough and roll into balls. (I lightly flour my hands as the dough is sticky). Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 8 minutes: they will look under done. Remove from sheet and place on a rack to cool completely.
- Frost with your favorite frosting. (with chocolate cookies)
