Ingredients :
- 1/2 pound (250 grams) minced braising steak (chuck)
- 2 sesame seed buns, sliced
- 2 eggs
- 2 slices smoked bacon
- 2 slices cheese
- Dijon Mustard to glaze
- Thousand island and ketchup (to dress)
- ⚪ ⚪ ⚪
- ⚪⚪⚪ Burger Seasoning ⚪⚪⚪
- 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Method :
- Mix the dry ingredients for the burger seasoning and add to the mince with 1 of the eggs. Add the Worcestershire sauce and work into the meat with your hands Add more breadcrumbs if too sloppy
- Form into two patties and press a dimple in to the middle
- Brush with mustard on both sides...
- Shallow fry in a skillet on a medium high heat for six minutes, turning frequently
- Toast your buns on the inside only
- Add your bacon and cook for two minutes then lower the heat to a medium low. Turn your bacon and your patties and cook for two more minutes, then cover your patties with the cheese
- Crack in your egg. When the bacon is cooked remove and sit on kitchen paper. When the cheese on the burgers has melted, begin plating your burgers
- Dress the top of the bun (I"ve used ketchup on the egg burger, and Thousand Island dressing for the bacon burger)
- Finally, serve...
