Ingredients :
- 1 Cup Crisco
- 1/2 Cup margarine
- 3 Cups sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 5 extra large eggs
- 1 Cup Milk
- 3 1/2 Cups flour
- 1/2 Tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 Tbsp Salt
- 2/3 Cup dry unsweetened cocoa (optional for chocolate version)
Method :
- Pre-heat oven to 325 F
- Cream together Crisco and Margarine
- Add 1 egg at a time to creamed mix until beaten together
- Add vanilla to mixture
- In separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and salt
- Alternate adding some flour mixture and some milk to the wet ingredients.
- Grease and flour a bundt pan
- Pour mixture into bundt pan and bake for 1 hour and 25 minutes. Check with butter knife. If it doesn"t come out clean, bake and check in 5 minute intervals.
- Pull from oven and flip bundt pan over onto a plate.
