Ingredients :
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 tbsp flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 7 ounces Private Selection roast beef top round
- Slices toast
Method :
- Cut beef into small pieces
- In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, melt the butter over medium heat
- Add salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce
- Add flour. Constantly stir to combine and create a roux.
- Add cold milk, stir until combined.
- Add beef.
- Increase heat to medium high and stir often until boil begins. Decrease heat to medium. Keep stirring until sauce begins to thicken. Once desired thickness is reached, remove from heat.
- Serve immediately over toast.
