
Ingredients :
- 500 grams Penne
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1 tbsp Chopped Garlic
- 3 tsp Flour
- 1 pints Milk
- 300 ml Double Cream
- 300 grams Parmesan Cheese
- 1 1/2 tbsp Chopped or Dried Parsley
- Sea Salt and Black Pepper
- Topping
- 3/4 cup Bread Crumbs
- 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
Method :
- Boil penne until al dente, drain, and place in a baking dish coated with olive oil. Give it a mix so pasta doesn"t stick.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and add chopped garlic. Cook until garlic is soft.
- Add flour to the garlic butter and whisk until smooth. Continue to whisk as you add the milk and double cream.
- As the liquid heats, add the grated parmesan cheese. Continue to whisk until the cheese is melted into the mixture.
- Mix in chopped parsley, sea salt, and ground black pepper (a good amount of pepper.
- Pour the alfredo sauce over the penne, cover with foil, and bake at 175 C for 20 min.
- Remove the foil and add the breadcrumb topping.
- For crumb topping, mix breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese and olive oil together into a sand-like consistency. Add to the top of the pasta and bake uncovered for 10 additional minutes.
