
Ingredients :
- 1 lb good quality bacon
- 1 lb brown sugar ( I use light )
- 1 lb unsalted butter
- 1 C toasted and chopped pecans
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 c pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
Method :
- In a 3 quart sauce pan combine brown sugar, butter, maple syrup, salt, pepper, and cayenne. Heat until melted and well incorperated.
- Add Pecans ( chopped fine ) and remove from heat.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
- Lay out bacon on a rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper
- With a brush, coat the bacon with the carmel mix liberly, turn and coat the other side.
- Bake in the oven until the bacon is done to your liking ( I like it crispy).
- Brush both sides when it come out of the oven, let cool for 10 mins.
