Ingredients :
- 6 tomatoes about3 inches diameter
- 1 cup crushed seasoned croutons
- 6 tsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 6 tsp grated American cheese
- 4 TBS melted butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- Parsley for garnish
Method :
- Hollow out a funnel shaped hole in each tomato to provide a place for the stuffing. The portions of tomato removed can be used in a salad.
- Mix the remaining ingredients and spoon into the tomato cavities.
- Garnish with parsley.
- Place in baking dish and bake 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or cook over charcoal until done. If necessary cover the tomatoes with aluminum foil to keep the stuffing from browning too much.
