Recipe Smoked Sausage and Cabbage

Ingredients :

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 small cabbage, cored and chopped
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 can (14.5oz) italian diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lb smoked sausage

Method :
  1. In a 4qt dutch oven or 12" skillet, heat oil over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and cook stirring often until lightly browned.
  3. Stir in cabbage, broth, tomatoes, and black pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook 20 minutes.
  5. Add sausage then spoon cabbage mixture over sausage. Cover and cook over low heat 10-15 minutes or until sausage is throughly cooked and cabbage is tender.
  6. Cut sausage into pieces when dish is served.
