
Ingredients :
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup smoked paprika
- 2 1/2 tbsp coarse black pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 1/2 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tsp cayenne (ground red pepper)
- 2 tbsp kosher salt
Method :
- In a food processor (or large ziplock baggie or bowl) measure out the dark brown sugar and the paprika. It is necessary to make sure all lumps are worked out and that the paprika is mixed evenly with the brown sugar.
- Once the mixture is smooth in texture continue to add 1 dry ingredient at a time mixing well each time and smashing any lumps with a fork or fingers if not using a processor.
- Makes approximately 2 cups of rub. Store in a dry, airtight container.
