Ingredients :
- 400 grams strong flour
- 2 tsp instant yeast
- 1 cup tepid water
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup sunflower oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- For the filling:
- 300 grams minced meat
- 1 tbs salt
- to taste Black pepper
- to taste Spring onion
- to taste parsley
- to taste mint
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes cut into cubes
- Juice of one lime
Method :
- Place dry ingredients in a bowl for the dough. Add wet ingredients and knead until elastic and smooth. Leave it to rise for 1.5 hour.
- Meanwhile, prepare the filling placing the minced meat in a bowl and adding all the other ingredients, mixing well by hand. Transfer this mix to a sieve so the juices of the meat and tomato can drain.
- After the dough has risen knead again to eliminate any excess of air bubbles. Grab a small portion (approximately 35 grams) and roughly shape it into a circle. Put one tsp of the filling in the middle of this piece of dough and joint the borders so that the resulting shape is a triangle shape. Repeat this procedure with the rest of the dough, placing it in a floured tin (about 2 cm space in between each).
- Beat an egg and pass it over each sfiha with a brush for a nice shiny gloss. Bake for 25-30 min at 180 degrees Celsius and... Enjoy!
