Recipe How to Use Ziploc Bags with a Foodsaver

Ingredients :

• Equipment
• 1 Foodsaver
• 1 Ziploc bag
• 1 scissors

Method :

1. Place the food in the bag and trim off the zipper with some scissors.
2. Cut the zipper into 2 pieces and place 1 off the zippers vertically in the middle of the bag. Trim the zipper to just above the bag.
3. Now, just use your foodsaver as you normally would and viola, a vacuum sealed bag on the cheap.
4. TIP: Depending on the thickness of the plastic bag, you may have to run the cycle 2 or 3 times to get a proper seal. With the thin sandwich bag that I used, I only had to run it once.
