Ingredients :
- For the cookie base
- 1 &1/2 cups sugar
- 2 Tbsp. light brown sugar
- tiny pinch salt
- 2 & 1/4 cups flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- For the filling
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1-14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- For the topping
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Method :
- Preheat oven to 325º. Line a baking dish with foil or parchment paper (9x13"). Spray with non stick spray.
- Start with the base . Melt butter add dry ings.lightly mix until it starts to hold together. Press dough into prepared pan.prick with a fork. Bake 25 minutes.until lightly Brown. Let cool.
- Fir the filling: heat butter & Brown sugar & milk in a heavy sausepan. Let simmer and stir constantly until it thickens and becomes a carmel color. About 20 minutes. Remove from heat stir in vanilla. Pour over cookie base and spread evenly. Let it cool completely. Before adding topping.
- Topping : Heat chocolates separately using a double boiler. Drop spoonfuls of melted chocolate over carmel. With a knife drag lines of melted chocolate all over top. Let bars set in refrigerator until chocolate becomes firm. Cut into bars.
