Recipe Nasi goreng (my version)

Ingredients :

  • 750 ml long grain rice
  • 1500 ml water
  • 4-6 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 4-6 teaspoon Japanese soya sauce
  • 8-12 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 16 tablespoons coconut butter
  • 5 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 10 eggs
  • 250 g harricot verts, fork size
  • 400 g carrots cut to battons
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 5 cloves garlic chopped
  • 400 g (raw weight) shrimp peeled
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger

Method :
  1. Bring rice water and some salt to boil, lower to simmer and cook 20 minutes under lid. Then leave to cool.
  2. Sweat onion, garlic, ginger in sesame oil and under lid. Later ad carrots and cook until done. Towards end, add the harricots so they are done same time as carrots. Mix half the vegetables with the fried rice.
  3. Mix eggs and scramble them with remaining vegetables toss the peeled shrimps in at end then mix it all in with the rice.
  4. If you feel like making it spicy add chilis :) spring onions are also a nice addition.
