Recipe Curly Kale with Cream and Crispy Breadcrumbs

Resep Curly Kale with Cream and Crispy Breadcrumbs

Ingredients :

  • 1 big pile of curly kale, washed and stalks removed
  • 2-3 big spoonfuls of creme fraiche or thick double cream
  • 1-2 handfuls fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1-2 handfuls grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt and black pepper

Method :
  1. Pile the washed kale into a large pan straight from the water you"ve washed it in. This will mean it has enough liquid to cook and you don"t need to add any more.
  2. Melt a big knob of butter in a frying pan and add the breadcrumbs. Fry, stirring, for a few minutes until golden and crispy.
  3. Cover the kale pan with a lid and place on a medium heat until the kale has wilted and is tender, but is still a bright green colour. Drain any excess water and return to the pan.
  4. Add a couple of dollops of cream, some salt and pepper, and the Parmesan, and stir in, heating gently.
  5. Pile into a serving dish and sprinkle over the breadcrumbs, don"t do this too soon otherwise they"ll lose their crunch. Sprinkle a few more on top once you"ve served the kale if you wish.
